Fingertips provide medical transcription and have a large number of transcriptionists that have been trained in medical transcription and can produce accurate, high quality transcripts containing complicated medical terminology. We work with medical transcription companies, UK and overseas.

For our medical transcription services, UK transcriptionists will be used. We do have a very small percentage of overseas transcribers who are covered under GDPR regulations.

There is often the situation of dealing with a number of different accents which, coupled with the varied terminology, can be challenging. Large organisations may benefit from using our Phone In service to avoid the cost of purchasing large numbers of digital recorders.  Please see the Phone In page.  The service is particularly aimed at the medical profession, with an option at the beginning of the call to enter a patient chart type.  Nowadays however, you can also download free recording apps to your phone which are just as clear as digital recorders.  Many of these have unlimited recording time.

We use up to date advanced performance technology and broadband connections ensuring that we have all the necessary equipment to undertake transcription services and deliver your work in an efficient, timely manner and of the highest quality.

GDPR

Fingertips are up to date with the new GDPR regulations. We can provide documents on request and answer any questions. For 95% of our transcription services, UK transcribers are used. We do have a few other transcribers overseas but they are covered by GDPR regulations.

Technology

We use the latest technology including fibre optic broadband to ensure speedy upload and download times. We use up to date programs, current audio transcribing software, clear speakers and headphones to gain the best clarity of your audio. Our file transfer system is accessed via your desktop, 256 bit SSL encrypted and with password protection.

Confidentiality

Fingertips are registered with The Data Protection Act. Our transcribers all sign confidentiality agreements.

Our file transfer system uses secure HTTPS and TLS (Transport Layer Security) processing. This ensures that files being uploaded and downloaded across the Internet are encrypted for added privacy.

Files on our servers also employ “Encryption At Rest”. This means that even in the unlikely event that stored files would be misplaced or stolen they are encrypted with AES-256. In addition, the three components of Encryption At Rest (encrypted files, encryption keys, and encryption/decryption processing) are each on separate servers.

Deleted files can be recovered within 72 hours.
